Looking at e-commerce search trends, searches for “gaming keyboards” and “gaming mice” surged by 138% and 119% respectively, far exceeding the growth rate of traditional “gaming keyboards and mice” searches. Behind this trend lies a fundamental shift in consumer mindset; “gaming” is no longer limited to professional competitions but has become synonymous with high performance and high quality.
Research shows that 56.2% of gamers are “very knowledgeable” about parameters such as switches, DPI, weight, and trigger speed, and 40.6% of gamers said they can distinguish between different types of keyboards and mice.
Meanwhile, 59.9% of respondents said they would choose the most suitable equipment based on the type of game, considering it “basic operation.” Gamers are beginning to configure dedicated equipment for different purposes—a primary keyboard, a racing mouse, and a set of portable backup devices.
According to e-commerce data survey results, ergonomic design (42.0%), durability and stability (38.1%), extreme precision and adjustable sensitivity (34.6%), and lightweight design (34.3%) are the four core characteristics of an ideal “gaming mouse” in the minds of gamers—it must have a comfortable grip, rapid response, and be able to withstand stable output during high-intensity operations.
The survey shows that magnetic axis keyboards (62.5%), lightweight mice (60.1%), and optical axis keyboards (58.3%) are the most popular “ideal gaming peripherals” among gamers. They all point to the same goal: to turn “commands” into “actions” faster, and to make the experience closer to “mind following the hand.”
